Welcome, I'm glad you're here.

I know that finding a good therapist is hard. It can feel like a gamble, and the right fit matters more than anything else. I take that seriously.

If you've found your way here, you might be looking to be understood. Many people come to me seeking support for things that are hard to put into words: a sadness that can't quite be named, the weight of being ostracized or othered, questions about who they are, and challenges in their relationships. If this sounds like you, we might be a good fit. You don't have to have any of it figured out to reach out for help.

The way I work comes from a simple belief: when people feel truly seen, they begin to change. My job isn't to fix you or push you somewhere. It's to help you find what's there, including the hardest, darkest parts, and be with you through it.

How I work

Most of what I do is listen closely and reflect back what I'm hearing. I try to put myself in your shoes and understand your experience from the inside. I'll ask questions to take the conversation deeper, and I leave room for humor too. Life is hard, and being able to laugh together can be part of how we get through it.

I'm primarily a humanistic therapist, which means I trust that you already have what you need to grow, and my job is to help you reach it. I also draw on specialized training in ACT, CBT, motivational interviewing, and interpersonal process therapy, plus a certification in CBT for insomnia (CBT-I). I bring in whatever fits you rather than asking you to fit a method.

As we go, I'll keep checking in on how therapy is feeling for you. I want to know it's actually helping and that we're moving toward what you came for. If something isn't working, I'd rather hear it so we can adjust.

Sessions are held over secure telehealth video. I see clients in Texas and all PSYPACT participating states, which covers most of the country.

What I help with

People reach out for all kinds of reasons. Some of the most common:

  • LGBTQ+ identity and lived experience
  • Identity exploration and development
  • Discrimination, marginalization, and feeling othered
  • Depression and mood difficulties
  • Questions of purpose, meaning, and values
  • Relationship and connection challenges
  • Life transitions and career changes
  • Work-related stress, especially in tech
  • Grief and loss
  • Living with chronic illness or other health conditions
  • Sleep difficulties and insomnia

Fees & logistics

I'm a private pay practice, which means I don't bill insurance directly. Each session is $300 for 50 minutes, paid through the secure patient portal. If you have out-of-network benefits, I'm glad to provide superbills you can submit to your insurer for possible reimbursement.

I start with a free 15-minute phone consultation to see whether we're a good fit. It's a chance for you to ask questions, and if I'm not the right person to help, we can work together to find a better fit for you.
